Summary
God Grew Tired Of Us is a 2006 documentary film about three boys from the "Lost Boys of Sudan", a group composed of 25,000 men who fled the wars in Sudan relating to 1980. The film covers their experiences as the flee from the horrible war only to their paths in the United States.

Lost Boys of Sudan includes around 25,000 young men from the tribes composed of the Nuer and Dinka groups. These groups were captured, killed, and tortured during their Second Sudanese Civil War. Their were about 2.5 million men killed and millions more were orphaned. (97)

Critical Question
I will be comparing these two films by looking into how film makers incorporate cultural identity when covering a documentary. How do film makers choose what perspective they should identify in a documentary. I also want to compare how both films idolize everyday life in another country compared to the United State. (150)

Your "Schedule" is just the timeline from the syllabus. How are you making time for these assignments?

Thesis and Outline: God Grew Tired of Us versus Lost Boys of Sudan

Thesis Watching films from a different culture is a wonderful way to offer an insight and a better accepting into other cultures. Interoperating characters on the big screen can make the audience relate to a cretin individual and creates empathy and compassion.  The Lost Boys of Sudan and God Grew Tired of Us, are both fantastic films that show how cultural identity and how differences make us all human.  These films show how different cultures often clash because of diverse values but the differences can also bring them together. Both films cover how cretin individuals adjusted to a new cultural shock when moving to the United States. Both films do a tremendous job showing a contrast in our different cultures and they both have different ideas of how to show them. A corrupted government that dominated the Sudan people during a civil war, this was the proposal to share the Sudan lives; which created the Lost Boys of Sudan and shortly after God Grew Tired of Us...
