God grew tired of us: Review

Plot
God grew tired us a uplifting informative film that takes us on a journey of 3 gentlemen called the "lost boys of Sudan". 1980 the Sudan people were terrorized from their government while engaging in a Civil war. Cut off from love ones and family, the Sudan boys marched from refuge camps to various locations only to be invited to live in America. The boys must now learn how to adapt to a new atmosphere and culture.

The "American dream" is a huge focal point in this film. It shows how difficult attaining the American dream is and the boundaries placed on foreigners. The film sucks you with intense images of hardship, and suffering but wins you over with charm, gratification, and leadership.

Genre
A 2006 documentary film that also has a comedy edge too it. With this film being classified as a documentary I would expect for there to be several interviews. A good documentary should raise more questions than answers. It should have a good analysis of a culture and involves ethnography or politics. With a documentary you have to appreciate their culture and not judge off first impressions. I expect this to be a good documentary if it includes all these points. I believe the comical side was added to suppress the a bigger problem that was accruing.

Documentary and my Evaluation
There is a lot of hard work put into to making a film like this. The main thing I recognized is this is a true film about real people, and real events. You expect to learn coming into this movie but you can also get emotionally attached to a character. Films like this can have a good cause to society if more films treated other cultures with respect and dignity like this crew. Having live actions shots are also critical to making a good documentary film and catching the moments. I also enjoyed that they filmed in my hometown state Pittsburgh, Pa.

Going through my checklist I believe this film does a good justice to describing the Sudan life. This this is a naturalist style when comparing to a documentary mode, most documentary films are naturalist. It has a good narrative and gives the viewer a diverse perspective of life. And I also think they did a good job at showing cultural comparison using diversity.

Yul Brynner and his 6 other cowboys versus Eli Wallach(Calvera) and Rico Alaniz(Sotero) with there combined near army in size. This scene takes place in the village of the farmers or (border town), covering the entire village. This is the last battle in the film with Chris killing Calvera and shaving the farmers. Summarize: This is the climax of the film. This is the scene we have all been waiting for. Yul Brynner(Chris) and Eli Wallach(Calvera) are the two focal character in this specific scene, although there are glimpse of other character in this crazy atmosphere. Early in the film Calvera warned the horse men to never return to the village instead, the gun men returned with a vengeance. Astonished and surprised the bandits were caught off guard due to there cockiness and corruption and lost badly to the gunmen. Three Struct...

Thesis and Outline: God Grew Tired of Us versus Lost Boys of Sudan

Thesis Watching films from a different culture is a wonderful way to offer an insight and a better accepting into other cultures. Interoperating characters on the big screen can make the audience relate to a cretin individual and creates empathy and compassion.  The Lost Boys of Sudan and God Grew Tired of Us, are both fantastic films that show how cultural identity and how differences make us all human.  These films show how different cultures often clash because of diverse values but the differences can also bring them together. Both films cover how cretin individuals adjusted to a new cultural shock when moving to the United States. Both films do a tremendous job showing a contrast in our different cultures and they both have different ideas of how to show them. A corrupted government that dominated the Sudan people during a civil war, this was the proposal to share the Sudan lives; which created the Lost Boys of Sudan and shortly after God Grew Tired of Us...
Avatar's Plot Avatar is a spin off from the original Avatar book based released in 1994.  2009 Light storm Entertainment, created one of the most visually fulfilling  films of the century. Directed by James Cameron and his team arguable remastered  a sensational novel into a magically inspired motion picture. The films genre can be  categorized as an fantasy/science fiction film, although I would also add action to it. The film is also symbolizes humanity's ability to do right or wrong when faced with adversity.  In the year 2154 earths inhabitants have subsequently used all of the planets natural resources.  Depleted resources causes scientist and a money possessed colonel to search for alternative  resource. Pandora is a forest like moon colorful, beautiful and full of life, where the unique mineral  is protected by the native people called Na'vi. The scientist use Na'vi like human hybrids to blend in and explore...
