What is my topic
I will be comparing the two films God grew tired of us and Lost boys of Sudan. I will be comparing and contrasting cultural and cultural identity as my course concepts. My ideal question will revolve around how film makers incorporate these course concepts into a documentary. How did each film choose what perspectives of the Sudan clan to represent, and how differently they identify in each film. Also how is  life in America idolized compared to a foreign country from the different main characters point of views.

Unsettling Resettlement: "lost boys of Sudan" Resettlement and Identity
In this critical analysis Sara McKinnon focuses on life in settlements and how culturally different is it from other settlements(America). Mckinnon has several great point about the harsh environment and lack of clean water/food. I want to use the source to connect my central idea on how Sudan life and American life differ. How was life in the settlements portrayed in both films, how are the different.

Out of Africa: misrepresenting Sudan's Lost Boys
Brandy Witthoft created this article to describe the culture and traditions of Africa more specifically the life in Sudan during the war. I want to use this source mainly because it places light on how culturally involved Africa is compared to America. How is America seen more as individual then collective. How do they keep there tradition so strong and what traditions do they show in each film.

Lost Boy's of Sudan
This article focuses on the second civil war and the implication it placed on the Sudan culture. The conflicts and reasoning is a major part of this article. I want to use this source to clarify how the Lost Boy's of Sudan excusably covered the war more compared to God Grew Tired of Us.

Not Just Child's Play: Emerging Tradition and the Lost Boy's of Sudan
This is a short critical review about the film The Lost Boy's. Rachelle Saltzman uses cultural difference when comparing the Sudan life to regularly American life. I plan on using this source to be able to more clearly include a focal point in the film to connect it to tradition.

2 films win double prizes at Sundance; dramatic feature 'Quinceanera and documentary 'God Grew Tired of Us' get grand jury and audience honors as festival closes
This review from Kenneth Turan shows an abstract view at how to connect two different films with simple connections. He uses Quinceanera and God Grew Tired of Us for his critical analysis. I will use points he made to connect God Grew Tired Of Us to my own film The Lost Boys

This scene takes place in the village of the farmers or (border town), covering the entire village. This is the last battle in the film with Chris killing Calvera and shaving the farmers. Summarize: This is the climax of the film. This is the scene we have all been waiting for. Yul Brynner(Chris) and Eli Wallach(Calvera) are the two focal character in this specific scene, although there are glimpse of other character in this crazy atmosphere. Early in the film Calvera warned the horse men to never return to the village instead, the gun men returned with a vengeance. Thesis and Outline: God Grew Tired of Us versus Lost Boys of Sudan

Thesis Watching films from a different culture is a wonderful way to offer an insight and a better accepting into other cultures. Interoperating characters on the big screen can make the audience relate to a cretin individual and creates empathy and compassion.  The Lost Boys of Sudan and God Grew Tired of Us, are both fantastic films that show how cultural identity and how differences make us all human.  These films show how different cultures often clash because of diverse values but the differences can also bring them together. Both films cover how cretin individuals adjusted to a new cultural shock when moving to the United States. Both films do a tremendous job showing a contrast in our different cultures and they both have different ideas of how to show them. A corrupted government that dominated the Sudan people during a civil war, this was the proposal to share the Sudan lives; which created the Lost Boys of Sudan and shortly after God Grew Tired of Us...
Avatar's Plot Avatar is a spin off from the original Avatar book based released in 1994.  2009 Light storm Entertainment, created one of the most visually fulfilling  films of the century. Directed by James Cameron and his team arguable remastered  a sensational novel into a magically inspired motion picture. The films genre can be  categorized as an fantasy/science fiction film, although I would also add action to it. The film is also symbolizes humanity's ability to do right or wrong when faced with adversity.  In the year 2154 earths inhabitants have subsequently used all of the planets natural resources.  Depleted resources causes scientist and a money possessed colonel to search for alternative  resource. Pandora is a forest like moon colorful, beautiful and full of life, where the unique mineral  is protected by the native people called Na'vi.
