“Ars Ratio” Reflection

Aro’s Reflection

What exactly is in my ePortfolio? My ePortfolio takes a dip into my own personal life. Im going to be honestly I am not an out spoken individual but when I was told I could write a persuasive paper on my own wishes, the ideas started flowing in. I believe giving a student the opportunity to express their self’s is the only way the get great information. My ideas and thoughts were flowing of what I could bring into the world. Like I said before I do not often express my self in writing form. With this project I wanted a teacher to be able to understand a student like myself. There are tons of different individuals that step into a classroom now I want you to step into my life. When coming up with ideas about my paper Heinrich repeatedly continued to jump into my mind. Heinrich has opened my mind on the idea of what is an argument is. Before walking into this class, I believed an argument was always something bad, I thought it was always a disagreement that ended in violence and missed viewpoints. Heinrich thought me so much more about what an argument was and how to successfully win an argument. He thought me how to read the audience and to pick up and key rhetorical moments in an argument. Now when I argue, I don’t want to just win the argument I want the audience to understand what I want and why I believe it. The use of ethos, logos, and pathos are truly beautiful in the world of a rhetoric. I wanted to better show you my ideas of America and how my character and logic clashed all together. I never knew how important expressing yourself could be before this class. This is why I spoke out about the racism in America. My main focus of my paper was the use of Kairos. With the introduction of president Trump I knew it was time. Doing my research, I found the speech of Hillary Clinton and the famous ‘super-predator’ speech. Wow was I wrong about Hillary. With this need found information about Hillary this opened so much more information about the history of America. My paper was almost a research paper for myself because I never knew how cricked America really was. The improper use of Kairos in the worlds legal system is senseless. Years on top of years has my race been corrupted by the legal system. I wanted to know more about my cultures history. This has been the most reached paper in my life. I hope I was able to include everything I learned about persuasion and how to properly persuade my audience.

Thesis and Outline: God Grew Tired of Us versus Lost Boys of Sudan

Thesis Watching films from a different culture is a wonderful way to offer an insight and a better accepting into other cultures. Interoperating characters on the big screen can make the audience relate to a cretin individual and creates empathy and compassion.  The Lost Boys of Sudan and God Grew Tired of Us, are both fantastic films that show how cultural identity and how differences make us all human.  These films show how different cultures often clash because of diverse values but the differences can also bring them together. Both films cover how cretin individuals adjusted to a new cultural shock when moving to the United States. Both films do a tremendous job showing a contrast in our different cultures and they both have different ideas of how to show them. A corrupted government that dominated the Sudan people during a civil war, this was the proposal to share the Sudan lives; which created the Lost Boys of Sudan and shortly after God Grew Tired of Us...
Avatar's Plot Avatar is a spin off from the original Avatar book based released in 1994.  2009 Light storm Entertainment, created one of the most visually fulfilling  films of the century. Directed by James Cameron and his team arguable remastered  a sensational novel into a magically inspired motion picture. The films genre can be  categorized as an fantasy/science fiction film, although I would also add action to it. The film is also symbolizes humanity's ability to do right or wrong when faced with adversity.  In the year 2154 earths inhabitants have subsequently used all of the planets natural resources.  Depleted resources causes scientist and a money possessed colonel to search for alternative  resource.
